PERU 2022
Through the Eyes of Women

In Lima, we'll be staying for 2 nights at Casa Andina Private Collection Miraflores. Conveniently located in the heart of the chic Miraflores neighborhood, the Casa Andina has 148 rooms designed in contemporary style and furnished with colonial furniture as well as Peruvian art which give this luxury hotel a local flavor. In addition to complimentary Wi-Fi, the hotel offers a fitness center, sauna, gourmet restaurant, gift shop, ATM, Internet center and heated swimming pool with a waterfall. A buffet breakfast is served daily, offering season fruits, cereals, selected hams and cheese, and an egg station. Each room is comfortably equipped with a flat-screen LCD television, mini-bar, safety box, hairdryer, coffee kit, and work desk.

In Urubamba, we'll be staying for 2 nights at Sol & Luna Resort, in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, surrounded by the jagged peaks of the Andes and close to the Inca ruins of Pisac and Ollantaytambo. Sol & Luna’s décor is inspired by the brilliance of colors at this high altitude, and the architecture is a mix of avant-garde design and primitive Peruvian art. The resort features a swimming pool, a spa, gym, sauna, and yoga and Tai Chi lessons are offered. The restaurant serves Peruvian specialties and international dishes. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, as well as room service and laundry service. The 43 charming casitas are decorated in traditional Andean themes and fitted with stylish furnishing, featuring a private terrace, fine Peruvian art, original murals and mood lighting which give them an eclectic and refined panache. The spacious bathrooms gleam with marble tiles, and come with hair dryer, toiletries, slippers and bath robes. Each room has a safety box and a selection of books and magazines.

In Machu Picchu, we’ll be staying for 1 night at the 5-star Inkaterra Machu Picchu Hotel. This boutique hotel is a re-creation of an Andean village, set among waterfalls and gardens at the foot of Machu Picchu. The hotel is secluded within 12 acres of lush gardens, where guests follow stone pathways to their rooms, located in 85 luxurious whitewashed casitas nestled into terraced hills. Each rustic room is a privileged space for retreat and repose and features thick Alpaca blankets and handmade wool coverlets, crackling fireplaces, local art, spa style bathroom, and views of the Vilcanota River. Spa services using sublime natural essences are available, and a first-class restaurant boasts Andean cuisine with contemporary flair.

In Cuzco, we'll be staying for 2 nights at the 5-star Hotel Monasterio. The Monasterio is a monument to the rich local history of legendary Cuzco, located just two blocks from the main square and within walking distance of the town's key landmarks. Housed within a former monastery, the hotel is a national historic landmark with a beautiful cloistered courtyard and a 300-year old cedar tree at its heart. Now a luxury hotel, the Monasterio features rooms decorated with rich wood furnishings, antique artwork and architectural quirks, and includes amenities such as wireless Internet, air conditioning and heating, LCD television and DVD player, and elegant marble bathrooms. Guests can try regional cocktails at the Lobby Bar or enjoy local Mediterranean-inspired cuisine at one of the hotel's two restaurants, the Illariy and the El Tupay.

In Puno, we'll be staying for 2 nights at the 5-star GHL Lago Titicaca Hotel. Located on its own Esteves Island and linked by a bridge to the mainland, the hotel offers panoramic views over Lake Titicaca and the Andes in Bolivia. From its private pier, guests can easily travel to islands lost in time where they can witness and participate in centuries-old traditions and ceremonies. Los Uros restaurant offers international dishes made with local produce, and you dine surrounded by unsurpassed Lake Titicaca views. Taquile Bar serves the typical local drinks: Coca sour and Pisco sour. The hotel features a spa with a hot tub, sauna and a gym, as well as free Wi-Fi connection. The guests can use the panoramic terrace and room service. The 123 rooms include a well-appointed bathroom, cable TVs and a minibar.

In the highly unlikely event that our original accommodations must be changed, the alternative accommodations will be a hotel of equal or higher standard. No change will made to the cost of the tour.

Why travel with other women?
Many women do not have families or compatible friends who wish to travel. When going on a main-stream tour, women often find that most activities are geared towards couples and quite often they feel left out. Singles' tours are not always what women are looking for. If you do not have a traveling companion, there is also the issue of the expensive "single supplement", sometimes as much as 50 or even 100 percent of the tour cost. By going on women-only tours, women can easily avoid paying for the single supplement by sharing a room with another woman traveler.
